Meet Dr. Josh Stehmeier

Finding His Direction

Dr. JoshDr. Josh Stehmeier always knew he wanted to help people—but there are a million ways to do that! Without a specific end goal in mind, Dr. Josh moved to Central America to do service work. While he was there, he received a letter from his brother saying that he’d decided to become a chiropractor.

This resonated with Dr. Josh, who felt that chiropractic suited his personality and offered him the ability to help people. He made the decision to become a chiropractor as well—ironically, his brother became a medical doctor instead.

Education and Experience

Dr. Josh enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2007. He worked in a Kelowna chiropractic clinic since 2008 and then in 2021 he moved to a centralized west Kelowna location to better serve the community.

In addition to traditional adjusting methods, Dr. Josh is trained in NUCCA upper cervical work. This is a very specific type of care that relies on precise X-rays of the Atlas (a joint in the neck) to determine the exact angle of adjustment necessary to restore alignment and movement. By combining upper cervical work, full spine adjustments and soft tissue modalities, he provides patients with a comprehensive approach to creating health and long-term wellness.
